Not only that, but he taught me how to sew when I was eight and would walk me through the importance of texture. “Always feel the fabric,” he’d say. To this day, I still touch everything in stores—some people might think it’s odd, but for me, it’s instinct. It’s how I recognize true craftsmanship.

He was my rock. Always impeccably dressed, always full of wisdom and warmth. I miss him more than words can say, but his influence lives on in everything I do. And here’s the sweetest twist of fate—my boyfriend is in the garment industry in NYC. He understands fabric, fashion, and fine tailoring just like my great-grandfather did. He’s become my modern-day rock, and I’m beyond grateful for him.
